Further Information
Alaric of Gaul is a Luminary of the True Brujah. A man with a rather unassuming appearance, Alaric is an emodiment of the stereoypes of his clan, for good and for ill. He is a peerless scholar, a curious mind that seeks to learn with the tenacity of a fresh neonate, but carries a cold and distant demeanor, who's demonstartions of warmth and kindness never reach a level above polite smiles and curt nods.
The ancient kindred is the founder of a lineage, "Tempus Frangit", scholars who dedicate themselves to the study of Temporis and the nature of time itself.
Alaric plans to be the driving force in the movement to legitimize the True Brujah as members of the Tower. He makes no secret his belief that his clan should become a new Pillar of the Camarilla. All in all, he seems to be rather typical for a member of his bloodline. Yet, there is a glimmer of something else there. A quiet desperation behind otherwise rational eyes. Something...hungry.
-Alaric's time pretending to be a Malkavian may have altered him; rumor has it he has the same Mad Prophecy of the clan of the moon.
Edit Rumors: Add your own!
- "We have so much in common, and there are so few of us left, that it's a pity we're divided. When elders stand apart, it weakens all Cainites." -Bob
- "The guy seems nice, he's just always talking about some theory or quoting some archaic text, who can understand the fellow? Like seriously, pick up a sword - A book ain't going to save your life" - Kelly Cassidy
- "He's the ideal person I'd imagined myself to be at one time, someone who can act with sheer logic. Sadly that cannot be myself but our society is better for having this timeless solid stone to build with." - Randolf Stein
- "He is both our history and our future." - Mary Petersen
- "Alaric is one of my longest lasting friendships, and I have found our discussions and debates over the years to be something my life would have been poorer without." - Nissim Melamed
- "I let him live, in spite of his deception. I think that the best testament to his character and usefulness." Walter Merrick
- "I had heard about this really, really old Kindred and then I met him and like I get it now. On the plus side time with him has helped me focus." - Kenneth Bilge
- "Wise indeed, and his powers over time are quite fearsome; he spoke for just a moment, but it felt like hours." - Zoltan Vancura
- "Hard to choose between nerding out and trying to make him laugh for which is the most fun, tbh." - Finley Welles
- "There's no other Elder I'd probably enjoy having an insane obsession with me more than Alaric. He's brilliant... and surprisingly durable." - Agatha Palmerstone
- "I've never managed to pin down exactly where I stand with Alaric, but that's likely because I rely so heavily on certain cues that he doesn't give, or chooses cues that I do not understand. I'm on the outside, and looking in, but he is opaque in a way few people manage to be with me which is maddening. I hope that the answers to my questions don't end up cost me more than I'm willing to pay, ultimately. - Dr. Marcel Trevisani
- "...I'm really glad that Nissim has been around every time I've met Alaric. That's all. No, I can't tell you why. Stop asking." - Evelyn Mitchell-Vykos
- "Growing up in Versailles taught me everything I needed to know to excel at being a passionate lover and a cunning kindred. However, becoming close to Elder Alaric was eye-opening to say the least!" - 𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓾𝓭𝓮
