Description

Her appearance is variable, to suit her mood and the whims of fashion, ranging from haute couture to vintage, and with a smile ready to dazzle anyone she talks to.

Timeline

1935: Born in 1935 in New York city to devoutly Catholic Italian immigrant tailors 1955: Still mortal, graduates from Fashion Institute of Technology and begins working in the Manhattan garment district. Frequently works with Keshet Katz, then fully mortal.

  • Seeking Ties: Mortal or Vampire rivals, patrons, friends, or lovers she may have had in this time

1960: Embraced by Virgil Vendicimo during the 3rd Sabbat civil War 1965: Evangeline returns to her mortal haunts with a new face and new name, and rebuilds connections in the fashion industry, making herself a patron and influencer of the industry. She also begins using vicissitude on consenting mortal models

  • Seeking Ties: Mortal: fashion-industry workers she may have met, taught, funded, used Vicissitude on, fed off of, flirted with, or otherwise interacted with. Any other then-mortals, now vampires, who were in NYC at that time.

1966: Reconnects with Keshet 1970: Creates a Haven with Virgil Vendicimo as they continue to distance themselves from the Sabbat; meets Kelly Cassidy, Scourge of New York and begins a long-term fling with them

  • Seeking Ties: ex (or current) Sabbat who may have felt some way about Evangeline’s embrace and lack of loyalty to the sect
  • Seeking Ties: Vampire: Vampires of any sect who had active high-society social lives. Lovers, flirtations, rivals

1972: Collaborates with Randolph Stein to create a medical corporation catering to those in the modeling industry. 1972: Takes an active role in developing the Met Gala from a minor fundraising dinner to the mortal social event of the year. (Pending VIP)

  • Do you like fashion? Fashionable mortals? Feeding on fashionable mortals? Talk to Evangeline about getting tickets to the Met Gala

1985: Evangeline remakes her fashion identity to keep up with her age, now Eva Carras-Leone 2004: Social media begins to take off in mortal society, and Evangeline finds it a wonderful way to interact with beautiful mortals in new and exciting ways 2008: Evangeline follows Virgil into active life in the Camarilla and becomes Talon

  • Seeking Ties: Camarilla kindred who may have been welcoming--or less than welcoming--to a relatively young, ex-sabbat, new member

2010: Evangeline is an early user of Instagram, finding it well-suited to her vanity. She continues using it even after the rise of the Inquisition, though she poses as mortal and disguises herself using Fleshcraft.

Bio

While a rising star of the fashion industry in Manhattan in 1960, Evangeline was embraced as a victim of the Sabbat civil war. Instead of letting her be used as cannon fodder, Virgil Vendicimo taught her about being a vampire and encouraged her to independently explore her art and come into her own.

She quickly found that her skills as a volgirre fit in well with her pre-existing interests in fashion. Evangeline builds her “looks” from the ground up, designing not only clothing, but also the face and body to go with it. Among mortals, she is of course cautious with her fleshcrafting, but more than a few aspiring models have willingly subjected themselves to both her skill and her bite. She enjoys the company of mortals, perhaps too much for safety under the second inquisition.

Despite the current taboo of technology, she’s been an avid user of social media (under an alias, of course, to preserve the masquerade) since its creation, using it to make mortal connections, increase her influence, and show off her masquerade-friendly creations.

In part to excuse her use of technology, she joined the Compass Table to put her skills and influence to good use.

Rumors

  • Evangeline came in third place at a fashion designer contest. There are no surviving judges left.
  • Evangeline would rather destroy her art than set foot in a church
  • Every year for Halloween, Evangeline dresses up as a different pop culture vampire to give candy to trick-or-treaters

Quotes

  • "Goodness, dear. How many outfits must you try on before the Conclave?" - Kelly Cassidy
  • "Charming, beautiful, and so fashionable. A gal could learn a lot from her." - Agatha Palmerstone
  • "You know, I heard once that people tend to perceive a composite of various faces that have been blended together to be more attractive overall than any of the constituent faces. Thus I wonder: in the pursuit of perfection, has she actually made herself more average?" - Zoltan Vancura
  • "Why did I embrace Evangeline? Well we could say it was my first step in walking away from the Sabbat. I took pity on her, and her situation, while not knowing if she even had any talent. I was excited to find that she was quite talented indeed, and to this day I dont regret my action." - Virgil Vendicimo
  • "I believe Evangeline preserved the best parts of her Sire, so I hope I can help protect hers." - Randolf Stein
  • "She's super fashionable that's for sure and more power to her, that's just not the style for me." - Kenneth Bilge
