Beast traits- In this setting, due to the struggle of the beast being high, beast traits will be used as a story element. Vampires may be partially removed from their humanity, but that does not mean that they are not affected by the outcome of their actions. As a character is distanced from their humanity by the various sins committed, it is true that lower sins affect them less but this also changes how they interact with the world. Players are encouraged to read up on this portion of the system in the BNS book and strongly encouraged to use it in their characters’ role play. A storyteller can assist a player with any questions and help the player access resources.

Downtime: Downtimes are appreciated and desired. There will be an available form to submit downtime actions which will be available two weeks before the game. These actions are due no later than one week before the game so that way the staff can put their full attention on the game. When considering downtimes, remember that the storyteller believes in the Economy of Cool and encourages players to invest in their characters. LARP is a shared story driven medium and these actions off scene should have, when appropriate, a sense of inclusion and investment in your fellow players and their characters.  +
Visitation by Proxy – Visitors looking to proxy into the VSS are required to email their VST and the VST of this VSS (denverbynight.mes@gmail.com) two days before their intended arrival. A form will be provided detailing the proxied character’s sheet, intentions within the Domain and additional requested information.

Character Change - You can only change characters one time in a night, and you cannot change back.

Calibration Mechanic – As LARP is an immersion-based hobby, it has been necessary to develop tools which aid in players quickly communicating to one another in an out of character capacity without interrupting the flow of story. One of these methods is the OK Check-In System. When in a tense or high emotional scenario, the Storyteller requests players be mindful of one another and attempt to utilize this system to touch base with one another.

For online play, conflict will be handled similarly to in person. The okay check in system will be in place in its’ own room and the player will tag the other player in question to notify them. The DC team will have their eyes on it and will make sure that a resolution can be met. Players will communicate in the OOC chat room for out of character chat and icly through any of the rooms that are not labeled as OOC chat rooms.

 +
<br>
 +

Chops will be handled by the RPS bot and in the RPS room. If anything needs to be mediated, the ST team will act. If any major issues are not able to be mediated through at that moment, the scene will be frozen and handled based on the severity. All of the ST team as well as the DC team will have notifications turned on so that they can see when rooms are posted to and players are encouraged to message or tag others, though if a scene occurs in a message then a ST must be attached. At this time any prominent positions may only be held by members on the VSS though each circumstance will be weighted by the VST.
