A cheerfully practical dirtbag, Z advertises his services as "the last thing you need."
Z spent a few centuries being passed among humane kindred as a ghoul who would take the initiative to spare his domitors threats to their morality. Embraced by the Tremere around 1900, he almost immediately escaped to the Sabbat and spent his time happily cleaning up the Silence of the Blood in the wake of endless horrors. Z resurfaced in Chicago in 2013 and, after practically daring the residents to execute him as former Sabbat, proved to be one of its most reliable citizens. He assisted in forming the "Free City of Chicago" in 2015 and has served as the nominal Authority there while it was brought under the auspices of the Independent Alliance.
Those who bother to remember Z from his time as a ghoul find the same practicality, but his impeccable politeness has twisted into relentless sarcasm. Fellow former-Sabbat will be familiar with him as endlessly upbeat, though his manner has taken on a more manic edge since the destruction of that sect. Z seems happy to assist with any task, no matter how awful, and tends to take a creative, lateral approach to many of them. He seems untroubled by sentiment, but also councils against violence against other vampires. His constant, though often subtle, sarcasm makes it difficult to tell compliments from insults; as does Z's tendency to compliment people on qualities they dislike. Notably, he also insists that he only speaks the truth -- "except to mortals, because I am lazy and it's just too easy."
