Description:

Eloise is an eccentric, dramatic heiress with a passion for taxidermy who cautiously balances anxiety and indulgence. From the factory town of Paterson, NJ, she has traveled around a bit before settling down into running this manufacturing center. She is a "tasteful" artistic Ananke, who channels her Death Sight into an art form she can understand and appreciate regardless of decay. She is trying to repair her Ananke family and find new relatives, believing that family ties can always be repaired, even as machines rust into inevitable decay.

Timeline:

Born- 1822 in Paterson, NJ to upper-class homemaker Felicity Fulton and machinist-inventor Clarence Miller, the oldest of 3 girls
1840- Tuberculosis sweeps the region, her youngest sister Clementine dies, along with her mother. Her middle sister, Lucille, falls ill, along with her father.
1846- Her father, Clarence, succumbs to tuberculosis, leaving behind a massive fortune and no male heirs. Whoever marries his eldest daughter, Eloise, would be privy to her share of her inheritance upon her marriage. Eloise, reasonably, found this to be bullshit, as she is courted by a slew of obnoxious, money-hungry suitors.
1847- Eloise receives a series of cryptic letters urging her to visit the Irish countryside. She and her family and their estate believe this to be yet another marriage proposal. Intrigued, she visits, and meets Malcolm.
1847-49- Malcolm spends years “courting” Eloise, while actually giving her a series of (at times, painful and challenging) tests and trials to see if she really lines up with what fate he sees in her future and if she’s a suitable subject for his experiments.
1849- Eloise “marries” Malcolm, giving the two of them access to her inheritance, including her share of the machining company and the money.
1849- Malcolm Embraces Eloise, attempting to use Mal’s blood instead of his own as an experiment. The experiment fails and he has to finish the Embrace with his own blood.
1855- Malcolm begins to resent Eloise, viewing her as a failed experiment and disowns her. He leaves her a large portion of the inheritance and company but otherwise leaves her to tend for herself.
1858- After wandering about London as “a wealthy young widow,” Bob contacts her and helps bring her back into the fold. She sets up a factory in Lowell, Massachusetts, not too far from Bob’s territory.
1860- She finds out that her sister, Lucille, is still alive and gravely ill with tuberculosis. She rushes to visit her and save her, and ghouls her. However, she believes that Lucille is actually dead, and that her ghouled form is not alive or saved.
1860-99- Period spent in mourning, lamenting the “death” of her dear sister, who still is alive as a ghoul, still living in Lowell. Lucille attends her own empty-casket funeral and joins in the mourning.
1900-25- Malcolm reaches out after decades of deliberate silence, summoning her back to London. He welcomes her with many gracious gifts, including the rest of her inheritance, and apologizes profusely about how he was so wrong about her, and that the prophecy was right all along, even if his experiments didn’t work out. He refuses to elaborate as to what the prophecy he foresaw for her was.
She spends around 25 years traveling between London and Lowell, with Malcolm buying her loyalty with gifts, favors, and boons.
1923- meets Ava Melamed when some of the unionizing workers that Ava is organizing blow up one of Eloise's factory buildings. Awkwardness builds in the Boston Court.
1929- Great Depression takes its toll on her manufacturing company, which she runs under Malcolm’s name. Her wealth begins to scale back slightly (Resources 5 goes to Resources 4).
1935- Eloise catches wind of Mal, and begins to write to them. Malachy, Mal’s ghoul, replies as Mal, saying that they are not interested in connecting.
1943- Sets up factories back in Paterson, NJ, to help with production for the wartime effort.
1957- Writes to Mal again, and is shut down by Malachy… again. Malachy reports back to Malcolm, who is urging him to keep the two of them apart.
1981- Closes up factories in Lowell due to shifts in industry, moves to Paterson full-time and sets up a Haven there. Lives life largely as a recluse, having her sister do most of her daily tasks and manage the business affairs, while she feeds on the night-shift workers at the factory.
1992- Third attempt at mending her little family. Still unsuccessful.
1998- The Great Prank is revealed, Dementation returns to the clan. She reaches out to Bob again and spends some time under her mentorship.
2007- Writes to Mal and the real Mal actually replies. The two meet for tea. Malcolm and Malachy don’t meddle, for once.
2009- The Jolt happens, and Eloise believes that this is a sign of the end times. She becomes even more reclusive, especially as The Quiet sinks in. She is visited intermittently by Bob.
2012-14- Is convinced by Mal to move in with them and ease out of seclusion. They live together for 2 years, before souring their arrangement by inviting Malcolm to stop by so she could try to fix things… again. Unsuccessfully.
2015- is reached out to by the Ventrue seeking business ties in the machining and manufacturing world, which expands her manufacturing into Asia and South and Central America.
2017- Connection amongst the clan begins to return, and she reaches out to Mal again, apologizing for making things awkward and learning from her well-intentioned attempt to help. They get matching fleshcrafted tattoos.
2022-23- Hunters auditing and inspecting her companies is starting to ruin her bottom line and hit too close to home, leading to her integrating more fully into Kindred society to fight back.
