Yelena descends from a Heroic Lineage.
Yelena speaks with an unusual accent; predominantly Slavic with some hint of Nordic segment, yet there's a peculiar prosody that makes her origins difficult to place.

Not much is known of Yelena before autumn of 2017.
- Yelena is from eastern Europe and she has many secrets, even after her return and Amnesia.
- She was a witch in her previous life.
- She isn’t even a Telos, she’s playing a big brain long con. She’s totally a Shadow Lord.
- Yelena and Aleks fight so hard, it's almost like they're ex-partners. Maybe they were before he was Bitten.
- Weaver-tainted Yelena would in fact make an ideal Shadow Lord.
