*April 14, 1712- Kiera MacFarlane is born near the Inveruglas Isle in Scotland to a family of not so well liked MacFarlanes. Seen as evil, crazed, and intolerable, her mortal family flees the hillside where they resided.
*October 31, 1734- Kiera finds herself on a small boat heading towards the Isle she was raised near. On fables and tales of unsaid spirits that watched across the loch, she decided to venture there for herself. She runs into a small group of people standing around a fire at the center of the ruins of an old castle. Fear struck her hard, and seemingly driven mad, she falls into a state of frenzied panic, and blacks out.
*November 1, 1734- Kiera is discovered nude and lying in the wood near the fire, now alone, by her mortal family. She is made aware that some of the clansmen have started talking about a girl of auburn hair who was speaking in unknown languages and hailing the stars, the water, and some indescribable deities. For this, her family has to flee accusations of witchcraft, plans to set sail for the new world.
*January 3, 1735- Kiera and her family have arrived in the North Georgia Mountains, now Ellijay area and found a comfortable spot that reminded them of their rolling hills and terrain back home. Here, they lived a good life…. Until it wasn’t.
*April 14, 1735- Kiera turns 23. Her birthday is celebrated with her loved ones for a while before the daylight begins to fade. Kiera wanted to watch the sun set, marking it the dysk of a new age for her. A new start, a new home. Wandering the still intimidating GA woodlands and mountains at night seemed to have been a mistake. While walking home, Kiera is stalked by what she thought to be a demon. Fearing the past has followed her, she makes a run for home, but would never make it. An Ahrimane, one she’d later come to know as Finlay, attacked, and embraced Kiera
*April 15, 1735- Kiera awakes, cold and feeling...off… She’s in a cave, it's the beginning of night, and she’s in a room with 6 or 7 others. They seemed busy conversing, and Kiera took this as her opportunity to flee. Luckily for her, she was close enough to her family’s new dwelling. She could see them from the view she had on the cliff. If she ran, she’d be there in minutes. Arriving at the doorstep, Kiera’s younger brother, Raymond, met her at the door. Her family in obvious anguish and concern wrap her in a blanket and lay her on the den floor. Before anyone asks her whereabouts, the wind picks up violently, or … Wings? Opening a window, there’s a murder of large crows encircling the house. The door bursts open, and the same ahrimane from before, with eyes as wide as the sea, begins her attack. Kiera, paralyzed in fear, watches as her family is obliterated, and reduced to a crimson mess.
*April 16, 1735- Kiera’s unlife begins, with the explanation of who she has become, and why her mortal family had to die. She is heartbroken, but in the coming years, she grows close to her Kindred, and starts helping them live as a family.
*January 2, 1776- Kiera and her kindred family find a colonial home, abandoned due to the death of its owners somehwere between Ellijay and Canton, GA. While watching the slave trade grow in the surrounding cities, she made sure not to involve herself in the disgusting ways humanity treated their own kind. Taking advantage of the occasional opportunity, some poor fool in the local bar would be consumed, with Kiera being pleased with herself of eliminating what she thought to be those of cruel mind.
*February 14, 1850- Kiera and her family start to see the more southern cities booming and plantations growing, meaning easier hunts at night and the possibility of getting to live a bit more lavishly if able to find the right kind of work. She and her kindred family moved to a neighboring city of atlanta to a plantation home, where she and her coterie at the time dispatched the occupants and freed whomever was in their possession.
*September 28, 1864- William Tecumseh Sherman marched through her town, and just before dusk, as Kiera was beginning to wake and was the first in the house to do so, terror seized her. The walls and tapestry were up in flames. She had to get out of there! She races to the well hidden cellar below the ground, listening to the wails of the kindred who didn’t follow her down into the basement perish in a scorched nightmare, her sire included.
*September 30, 1864- Kiera and the surviving Ahrimanes with her, 5 out of the 7, set out after having sought shelter in a nearby grove. They knew they didn't have long before sunrise, and found a damaged but salvageable house. They do what they can to fix it up, and call it their own.
*October 4, 1864- While on a hunt near Flint River, Kiera and her kindred happen upon a buggy being driven by a man and his wife. Assuming there were no witnesses around, an attack ensues, and the ones who need to feed. Amidst the carnage, one Ahrimane, McKenna, happens upon the children, a set of 18 year old twins, offspring of the couple who now lay dead on the road. Without thinking, she sires the both of them, unbeknownst to the rest of her coterie. Cleaning up the mess and straddling the driver’s seat, while others walk behind, Kiera guides the family back home.
*October 5, 1864- Kiera wasn't the first to discover the fledgling kindred hiding in a room with Mckenna. Despite the pleas of sparing them and needing someone to keep them safe, Kiera knew what she had to do. To her astonishment however, the elders present didn't share the concern she presented. She took their lack of action as a cold act of willful ignorance and an enablement of a breach of masquerade, and in doing so, Kiera slaughters each and every one of them, leaving their bodies to bloat and swell in the nearby body of water until sunrise.
*October 6, 1864- Kiera once again has to abandon her abode and search for a new start. This time, alone and wanting nothing more than a friend, and a home to call her own. She ends up settling somewhere indiscernible between Rome and Atlanta, GA, where she currently resides in 2020.
Scottish born, Kiera MacFarlane has a good reason to be wary of most, but she isn't easily intimidated. She prides herself on her looks as much as she does her ability to be independent if needed. She will fight for those who fight for her, or those she considers family. Kiera is a chaotic neutral at best, and at worst, one to not be challenged. Her cold and sometimes downright heartless approach to certain circumstances will leave one either wanting to ashe her, or wanting to befriend her.
