Skine was born to a wealthy Scottish family in the New England logging region. Rather than go into business, the librarian attended school with a focus on liberal arts and folklore. After finishing his doctorate in Newfoundland, he was invited to a celebration in his honor by his friends, a local Art-Collab group. Something happened at this event leaving the man, as the Kaisyd describes it, without a soul, without humanity, without life. In this state of wretchedness, Skine was embraced by a traveling loremaster for his skills in research and historical analysis. Most nights the Librarian, or Professor, or now Keeper as various people call him, can be found in the Teloah libraries, or in Elysium working on this lore question or another.
