Ezra Sweet
Further Information
To understand Ezra Sweet, we must first start with his sire*.
An efficient killer and perfect gentleman, Ramses Skinner’s origins are a mystery. He appeared sometime in newly industrial England (1760s) as a mysterious foreign aristocrat, and quickly made a fortune unethically running overcrowded textile mills. After he was implicated in a sudden rash of bizarre murders (1840s) he fled to the Americas to escape the scrutiny of the Camarilla, and quickly fell in with the Sabbat where his true Volgirre nature no longer needed to be hidden.
It was then, as he began to murder his way through the Eastern seaboard (early 1910s), that he attracted the attention of the newly formed FBI (then BOI) who begin to call him “The Every Face Killer” because all of his victims seem to willingly follow him and no witnesses ever give the same description of his face. Despite this, the killings are easy to connect as each victim’s body was left in a twisted and malformed state which defied explanation.
The killings went on for almost thirty years on and off, sometimes stopping for years and then beginning again en masse. It wasn’t until 1928, when the killings once again picked up, that federal agents came even close to finding Ramses’ identity. A forensic trainee, fresh from med school, was doing his own private investigation when he came face to face with Ramses.
Ezra did not survive.
But that was 1928. In modern nights Ramses Skinner has disappeared, leaving Ezra adrift. After the sudden departure of his sire Ezra faded from kindred society, until recent nights when he's made a sudden resurgence.
Like his sire, Ezra needs to eat the flesh of the living (what he calls a "solids diet" around polite company). His position as coroner helps him find sustenance without killing ("I'm practically vegan, really.") and helps him keep an active eye on violent crime in the city.

1928-2008: Ezra rarely speaks of his time in the Sabbat while among members of the Camarilla, but it is fair to say he and Ramses moved fairly often throughout the years.
