Penny is the hardest-working, hardest-partying ghoul to ever be ghouled. She's a petite woman who appears to be in her late 20s with chin-length blonde hair, which is usually disheveled and staticky. She looks perpetually exhausted, and has a noticeable twitch. While dealing with Kindred, she tends to be soft-spoken, but can go full #GirlBoss when dealing with mortals. She always has a cup of LyfeWare's PepLyfe™ nutrient-boosted coffee in her hand. Timeline: Born: Provo, Utah, 1961
Penelope "Penny" Larson was born to a large Mormon family in Provo, Utah. She was dedicated to her faith and was a very effective missionary, and met her ex-husband, Dick, while preaching in Costa Rica, and married him at the age of 20. She lived the life she was told to live, but never felt satisfied or fulfilled. Meanwhile, Lynda was called to Minister to the understimulated, undercaffeinated people of Utah as her own missionary trip. She had an easy way into the local culture: Utah is known for its love of multi-level marketing parties. The party started out pretty normal, going over blenders and travel cups and measuring spoons, and then she brought out the shakes and vitamins. "It doesn't have any more caffeine in it than a good old Coca-Cola," the saleswoman said with a wink. "But it can give you the energy you need for the whole day... and the night." Penny poured a glass from the free sample pitcher, and immediately was hooked. Turns out, it contained something much stronger than caffeine, and was definitely in the spirit of "a good old Coca-Cola." And she kept going back to more parties, as they grew increasingly debauched. This was so much more interesting, more fun than her life back home, with her husband and 5 kids. Lynda asked if she wanted to sign on as her down-line, and immediately she said yes. She had sold Longaberger Baskets and Mary Kay since she was old enough to sign up, so she had a huge built-in network, and was always good at sales as a side-job. It was an easy pivot for her, and she soon had a pretty substantial downline of her own. This was actually something she loved to do. It really was a party, not just a glorified sales pitch with a cheese platter. It was the kind of party that Penny never knew existed outside of Chick Tracts. It was the kind of party Penny never wanted to end. And it didn't have to. And as far as Penny can see, it looks like it never will. RUMORS:
