Born in Antwerp to a family of artists, Hedwich showed an early affinity for the decorative arts and pursued goldsmithing as a profession. She was officially inducted into the Guild of St. Luke as a master goldsmith at the age of 24. After many years creating jewelry and decorative objects for wealthy and noble clients, and the occasional royal, her talents were recognized as something truly special by Elder Fiona Bizet of House Apollo. The gifts characteristic of her new clan took her work to an even higher level, evoking awe and strong emotions in those who see it.
Now going by the more modern name of Hattie, she spends her nights focused on practicing and perfecting her art and spending quality time with family. She also works as a skilled appraiser of art and antiquities. A longtime loyal member of the Camarilla, the years following the Beckoning shattered her faith in the Tower's leadership, as she watched them continually argue that everything was fine. Everything was very much not fine, not after the tragic loss of so many Elders, and the wisdom and leadership they provided. Although still assured of the rightness of the Traditions, and confident in following her Elders, Hattie has renounced her official ties to the Tower and considers herself Unaligned.
- Examples of her work are featured in museums in Western Europe and the United States, all listed without the artist's name.
- She helped smuggle and authenticate multiple forged antiquities and works of art that now feature as prized pieces in collections across the United States.
- "She truly understands that it is not only the gem that matters, but the framing of it. Indeed, her work shines with every bit of herself she puts into it." - Miguel Cantone
- "One day, I'm going to do something so awesome that she will be proud of me. And that will be the most perfect day." - Elizabeth
