Description

Bastion is a thick wall of muscle with dark gray flesh and a monstrous visage. Large stone wings with feathers sculpted into them fold and move on his back. Deep dry cracks can be seen along his clean scalp. Often he can be seen with graffiti of different arcane symbols on the side of his head. He usually lurks completely shrouded in a dark cloak to hide his form from prying eyes. When he is comfortable with his surroundings he wears a hooded denim vest, tshirt and jeans.

Timeline

• 1302 - Bastion is created by Dragomir Nicolescu. When he is not defending the Chantry or running attacks against their enemies he spends most of his time in the library.
• 1476 - The Gargoyle revolt begins and Bastion is in the thick of it. He has remained loyal to Dragomir to this point but as he sees how his brothers and sisters are treated by Clan Tremere as a whole he rebels, joining the fight and aiding in the destruction of The Tremere Prime Chantry in Ceoris.
• 1489 - Bastion attends the signing of the Montmartre Pact and celebrates with his kin, though the realization that the future is unknown begins to sink in now that he is no longer a thrall of the Tremere but of the Camarilla.
• 1490 - The Camarilla sends Bastion to aid in quelling the Anarch revolt. During the conflict he encounters the Gangrel Edgar Rains. The two trade blows for hours neither gaining ground against the other but then something happens that causes Bastion to flee the battlefield and go into hiding.
• 1500 - Bastion resurfaces, providing services to others as bodyguard, mercenary and haven defender. Bastion begins working for Elder Cassandra of Clan Toreador as Bodyguard and haven protection. He travels Europe as she tours galleries and shows.
• 1765 - Bastion's employment with Cassandra ends as she leaves for the new world. He continues to work with others as a bodyguard in Europe.
• 1812 - Bastion travels to The New World, smuggled aboard a British Merchant ship. Trouble comes when the ship is raided by a pirate named Sabine De la Rue and her crew. Bastion manages to escape and make it to shore.
• 1815 - Bastion joins the fight for New Orleans against the Mages who attempt to steal the city from Prince Doran.
• 1881 - Bastion aids in destroying a Cult of Tremere who had captured Gargoyles for experimentation, attempting to learn the secret of their creation once again. He finds out one of those rescued from the cult is his grandchilde, Calypso
• 1990 - Bastion moves to Baton Rouge.
• 2001 - When the Gargoyles officially join the Anarchs, Bastion becomes a strong voice for freedom amongst the Baton Rouge Anarch Movement.
• 2003 - Bastion aids in the talks with Elder Prince Marquette of Baton Rouge to ease the tensions between Camarilla and Anarchs.
• 2006 - Fighting against the Sabbat erupts in Baton Rouge. Bastion is in the front lines, working with the Camarilla and Independent Alliance to defeat the Sword of Caine.
• 2009 - Bastion travels to Bangladesh to use his ritual and occult knowledge to help in "The Ritual That Saved the World."
• 2011 - Bastion and the other Anarchs are hit hard by FIRSTLIGHT. Bastion goes underground as it is hard for him to hide among the mortals.
• 2012 - Bastion surfaces in New Orleans, aiding the Anarch movement there to fight Firstlight and push what is left of the Camarilla out. When the Camarilla surrender and terms begin to be drawn up Bastion returns to Baton Rouge.
• 2014 - The Vampires of Baton Rouge begin to surface and take stock of what numbers they have left. Bastion is approached by Edgar to come home to New Orleans and he accepts.
• 2018 - Attended the Toreador Ball held by Victoria Ash. Aided in the fight against hunters in Baton Rouge, assaulting their camps and stealing weapons and supplies from them.

Bio

Bastion is a Gargoyle, created to serve Clan Tremere but freed from those chains during the Gargoyle Revolt and is now a beacon of freedom amongst the Anarch Movement. Created by Dragomir Nicolescu and given the name Bastion, he was used to the hard life of service and combat. Bastion's interaction with anything other than Vampires has been extremely limited due to his horrific visage, this along with his amnesia blocking out what his life as a mortal was like has left him with little knowledge of what it means to be human and this often shows in his mannerisms.
