Johnathan grew up on the streets of London in the late 1800s. Born in 1877, he grew up on the streets and was known to be tough and a skilled bare knuckles boxer. What was unusual for someone of his social class was that he was taught to read by his aunt and had a thirst for knowledge on top of his gruff exterior, where the others of his gang gave him the nickname of The Professor. As years went by, he rose to be the leader of a small but successful street gang. He was known to run his gang not with brash emotion but with logic and reason, things he learned on his own via his reading of whatever books he could get hold of. In 1920 his gang was hired by a True Brujah Elder to procure some rare texts. Jonathan's skillful leadership, his rational demeanor, and his skill in fisticuffs caught the interest of this Elder, who chose to Ghoul him. He spent the next 2 years as a ghoul to the True Brujah who then chose to embrace him into the bloodline. The Professor relinquished control of his gang as he saw this as an opportunity to move out of the shadows of mortal crime and into the shadows of forbidden knowledge and lore. He spent decades with his sire, providing protection while learning at their side. Eventually he chose to settle in for a while and take the invitation to join the Camarilla.
