Life

1857: Daniel Roman is born in Georgia to rural farmers John and Elizabeth. Daniel grows up poor and largely uneducated.

1862: John Roman enlists in the Confederate army, primarily out of a sense of obligation. Daniel, still too young to understand the war or why his father is gone, attempts to shoulder additional responsiblities around the farm.

1864: Word reaches the Roman farm that John Roman killed in the Battle of Vicksburg one year earlier.

Death

1875: October 31. Devil's night. Cainites lost in the revelry of the Palla Grande wreak havoc in portions of Atlanta. Daniel is in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it shoveled into the ranks of the Sword of Caine. The disciple of Goratrix who embraces him does not expect Daniel to survive the night. He is correct. While Daniel goes into the ground, his mind breaks under the pressure of the beast and terror of being buried alive. What wrenches itself free from the soggy grave earth calls itself Roam.

2003: Roam encounters Trace McCerin, a European student of the Chakravanti who had become an unwilling ghoul of the Nagaraja. The details of their meetings remain unreported, but appear to have been memorable enough to create a lasting bond.

Rebirth

2023: Roam appears in Middle Georgia, in the domain of Penelope Reina, with seemingly no memory of his time among the undead. After ingratiating himself (in his own way) with the Anarchs of Macon, he settles in to a new existence among their ranks. While some seem interested in pursuing the source of his amnesia, Roam appears to be content with his new life.
