Rasputin
Further Information
- 1865 CE - Date of Embrace
Rasputin was a semi-literate peasant who rose to political power in the court of Czar Nicholas II. His power over the Czarina reportedly led to him politically influencing the Czar. As he hovered around the court, his allies reportedly maneuvered themselves into political positions in the government.
The complexity of stories involving the allies and enemies of Rasputin range from Malkavians and Setites to even werewolves and wraiths.
The identity of the famous monk has also been used as a cover identity by many kindred wishing to add to the Mad Monk’s legacy and keep their own nefarious deeds attributed elsewhere. This explains the number of stories that purport his numerous deaths. It also calls into question if Rasputin is even Rasputin.
