Bio

Lavinia Andrei goes exclusively by Lavinia as many great artists have in the past. She is a gypsy in all senses of the world, a traveler, a collector and lover of beautiful things who avoids violence as much as possible even though she is relatively unflappable. Originally from rural Romania she traveled with a Roma caravan before she caught the eye of a Kindred through her entertaining performance and quick wit. The partnership was not to last sadly, as quite soon after their change of circumstances, their sire was called away and they last saw each other across a fence in Poland as they made their escape

She spent her life since the embrace seeking out interesting information and art. She is a student of the world, passionate about taking the time to appreciate beauty and has spent time learning languages to better appreciate nuance in poetry and song. She speaks her native tongue Moldovan as well as English, Spanish, German and Russian.

Lavinia has not adapted to the modern era and prefers the tangible nature of more outdated methods, she relies heavily on others to provide their technical skills if they are required. She finds comfort in holding a book, writing a letter to acquaintances and maintaining her elaborate inventory by hand, the time consuming task letting her re-experience every acquisition

She has spent the intervening years since leaving New York traveling the North American continent, quietly connecting with skilled artisans of all kinds, adding to her collection with the wares and on occasion, their persons as well building a herd of creatives. She found herself in the Tampa area in the early 90's and decided to stay for a while. She has hopped between Sarasota, St. Pete and Tampa throughout that time but mainly kept to her own devices. With the recent regime change she no longer feels she can stay out of things if she wants to remain.

By necessity she has remained away from the politicking and drama of the various movements, having very little insight into the culture. After hearing of recent changes and upheaval she has determined it may be time to step out of the shadows and participate in the world more actively. For now she is gaining information and respect for the Anarch Movement, hoping to gain understanding and allies. She is focusing on expanding her connections, working to create a museum she may curate and fill mainly with her own varied collection while building her new haven

She is hoping to build a community of others that appreciate the arts in their many varied forms to make life worthwhile
