- 1857: Cressida is born outside of Syracuse, New York to an Irish Catholic family. She will later move into the city and become a factory worker
- 1885: Cressida is Embraced by a Lasombra man who she met in her early adulthood. He inducts her into the world of Abyss Mysticism, which quickly becomes an obsession for her
- 1890's-2010's: Cressida spends most her time in a large rural estate in upstate New York, performing research on the Abyss as well as human philosophy, theology and the natural sciences. During this time, she hosts humans who share her esoteric interests to stay at her estate and develops a series of rituals and performances related to her Abyssal philosophy
- 2010's: Cressida's sire, who she has been in a passionate, yet inconsistent, relationship with for decades, does not return to the estate after several years. Over time, Cressida accepts that he is most likely dead
- 2022: Lonely with the loss of her sire and becoming bored with her increasingly solitary life in her estate, Cressida moves to Boston
Cressida is intellectual, curious, and friendly. She has spent more of the past century with humans than with vampires and is learning more about the customs and structures of kindred life. She is deeply invested in her own esoteric philosophies, which center around the Abyss and its role as a source of primordial chaos. Her study of the Abyss has influenced the performance art she created in her estate in New York and continues to make in Boston, but also guides her strong political beliefs, which center on individual freedom and liberation.
