1810: A 15 year old girl named Gloria is hired on as a maid in a Molly House. She likes the work - it pays BANK and where else can a pretty young girl work in a house full of men without fear of wandering hands? It's hard work - the owner has high standards and demands loyalty - but she's treated fairly, and is even promoted a couple of times.
1815: Gloria is about to be forced into a marriage she doesn't want, and can't avoid because at age 20, she's still a minor and thus legally her father can force her to do whatever he wants. Her genuinely loving family wants what's best for her, and looking back she can see it wouldn't have been so bad. He was a perfectly nice man, a white collar professional in his 30s who would have made her very comfortable. But at age 20, she wasn't ready to get married, have kids, and be stuck in a boring and bleak life of lower-middle-class mediocrity. She takes her money and runs.
With a few years she's embraced by the Sabbat, where she thrives. She is finally free from the strictures of gender and human society and has real, true power. She goes in hook, line and sinker. [OPEN FOR TIES]
1957 - Third Sabbat Civil War begins in NYC and Becky and her pack answer the call.
In the 1980s she and her pack return to London as part of the foundational wave of Sabbat who will, eventually, rise to full scale war with the Camarilla - taking cover in the punk scene.
Things take a turn for the weird in the early 2010.
Gloria challenges a superior in the Sabbat to monomancy, and diablerizes them. In the aftermath, she's caught by the Scourge, staked and put on ice: on the one hand she's diablerist Sabbat, on the other, the Sabbat member Gloria killed was bloodhunted by Queen Anne, so she did the Camarilla a solid. The Scourge decides to let Anne make the call about Gloria's fate.
2011 - 2014: Before Gloria can be judged, Queen Anne is Beckoned and the court of London descends in a viscous fight for the praxis - at which point Gloria is pulled off ice by the Tremere and told she can work off her debt by swearing 100 years of service to the Camarilla and be forgiven for her diablerie (it WAS part of a blood hunt after all). To "earn" this, she has to turn traitor against the Sabbat, which is currently raining fire on the Camarilla of London and drawing the Second Inquisition, and aid the Tremere in their praxis fight.
Choosing life over execution (or going back on ice), Gloria picks up the Alt ID "Becky", joins the Camarilla, helps London fight the Sabbat - but the Tremere lose big in the battle for Praxis.
2014 - 2022: Her forgiven diablerie writ is from Ian Carfax, who has little to no real influence in London, but newly minted Prince Selby Ashworth is happy to capitalize on an expendable Ventrue and appoints her as Deputy Scourge. Becky gets used and abused as hunter bait and to do all the wet work the Prince and Scourge don't want to sully his their hands with - but survives it all. She's alive - but beginning to question if the cost is worth it.
And she can't even run back to the Sabbat - they're GONE. Before she can do something too stupid, though, she crosses paths with Christian Whitechapel again. Christian remembers the loyal girl who worked her ass off without complaint, and Gloria remembers the kind but exacting boss - and she opens up to him about how she's not exactly a member of the Camarilla, but an indentured servant. She's being ground down by the Prince of London, and she needs an out - one way or another.
Christian leverages his connections in London to get Becky released to his custody to continue serving out her her 100 years of service (8 down, 92 to go!) by serving as the Scourge of Boston.
Has Becky traded one prison for another? Or will Boston be the land of revolution for this Brit?
