Description
Friedrich De Vries is a fastidious, but adventurous scholar of a Malkavian. He was one of the first pioneers in the field of Psychoceramics, which he taught to his lineage. Like Indiana Jones of movie fame, he travels the world in search of new discoveries, and he also hates Nazis. Because of this, his social duties, which he abhors (though he will only admit this in private) are usually left in the capable hands of his assistant, Agatha Palmerstone.

- Dulce et Decorum Est Desipere in Loco - the motto of De Vries and his lineage. According to him, it translates as "It is pleasant and proper to be foolish once in a while".
- Editor's note: The Latin word loco actually means "place (n.)", not "foolish (adj.)"; this is presumably the product of a false etymology of the Spanish word loco, which itself properly means not "foolish" but "crazy". It is unclear whether this error was intentional on either level.
