Further Information
Quinn stands at 5’4”, not particularly tall. Their short white hair and sharp blue eyes stand out of an otherwise lean face and box like build. In Lupus, they are a small black wolf with tufts of white hair all about their head. Typically they dress in a pair of torn jeans, lined in the holes with wide gauge fishnets, a black, well worn cable sweater.
Although they do not appear to focus on their appearance, their eyes are often painted in fierce, goth makeup.
- December 4th 1987 - Born to human Charlie Brennan and, not known to him, Homid Ahroun Blackfury, Lydia Nomikos, in Sarnia Ontario. (Canada) Deeded as Unyielding Ghost. They move back to the United states as it’s easier for Lydia to continue working her military contracts.
- 'May 1990 - Charlie takes the kid back to Canada to live with family. It’s not clear why to Garou, but at this point the child disappears out of knowing. Lydia is furious. He’s vanished, with her child.
- 1990 - 2002 - Quiet living in Canada. Charlie is Deaf, and Catholic. This is a strong reflection on the child’s upbringing. The child is knowledgeable, but tends to rub a lot of other kids and teachers the wrong way. Not questioning authority always, but assuredly defensive.
- February 2003 - Charlie is at his wits end. Nomikos is unruly, at times completely enraged and does not respect the rule of the house. He contacts a friend, and that friend hooks him up with a wilderness therapy program in the US.
- August 16, 2004 - The First Change. Lydia claims the Lost cub.
- January 2007 - Rite of Passage. It is a combined challenge. Katie is left with nothing but the bare minimum clothes on her back in Algonquin to survive, and earn the respect of the totem by tracking it down without help. It is a gruelling gauntlet of both endurance as well as a display of unyielding resolve under a crushing weight. She survives, having been hardened by … previous experience. She does so in total silence.. not only when alone and attempting to weather the elements. But upon making it to the totem spirit, she defies its help three times, recognising it, but turning away its offer of help in quiet fury at being chided, to tempt her into accepting the help. She earns the deed name, “Storms in Silence.”
- October 2010 - Storms in Silence earns Fostern.
- December 2010 - Katie shears her hair and sheds her old identity. Pronouns become They. At this time, the Age of Apocalypse very much still rages. The choices cause a lot of simmering strife, within their pack, with their mother. Given that they choose a large portion of the time to present masculine, some interpret this as a rejection of their role. Many expected them at this time to challenge for Adren or at least leadership of the pack.
- February 2010 - Storms in Silence weathers the sentiment, choosing not to acknowledge it aloud until the pack leader accuses them of causing division in the pack by centering their personal struggles. The relationship with their mother is … tenuous. Lydia sees the need to change the outward appearance as human weakness. Storms in Silence duels their pack leader over a breakdown in principles.
Storms in Silence wins the duel, which should have settled it. Instead, they break the terms of the duel, and leave the pack despite giving the impression that they were going to fight for their place in it. Storm is declared Dishonorable. This is absolutely terrifying for everyone to behold. They are exceptionally intimidating, and their leaving is like the wake of a natural disaster. They leave the Sept, and undergo a legal name change.
- March 2010 - 2012 - Quinn attempts to reintegrate into human society as best as they can. They go back to school, finish their law degree, and take some professional interpreter training. The law degree does not pan out as planned, though they complete their schooling. During this time, they make themselves available to travel for tribe business, doing their very best to avoid Iowa entirely when possible.
- 2012-2014 - Quinn, as Storms in Silence, travels along with the rising Arete of the Egregoroi pack, having joined them. Arete is a strange one, but then, so are they in their own way. Arete does not look over them like other Black Furies do. When he challenges for leader and their female pack leader refuses to acknowledge, Quinn leaves the pack. They thought that she could be different… but not if they cannot accept this challenge. Quinn does not stay ... and looks devastated. They hang onto the fetish that Arete crafts for them and part ways.
- 2016 - 2017 spring - Quinn spends some time in Estonia, doing some additional side work both as a human interpreter, but also a Black Fury attempting to assist with the cleansing of Wyrm taint in this area. As a Freebooter/Sister of Fortune, information on the situation in this area is critical.
- 2017 may - Quinn is recalled for other UN assignments, including some in America. (open for ties.)
- November 2021 - Quinn approaches the Sept of the Lonely mountain, given to the impression and rumor that a Volkov is there.
As Storms in Silence, Quinn Nomikos is a quiet, unacknowledged pathfinding Fury, lending aid to wherever they find it is most needed.
Quinn came out just prior to the Apocalypse, somewhat infamous for causing a stir while doing so, as they Dishonored themselves publicly to make a point. Although this moniker has long since passed, their unwillingness to acknowledge a specific, consistent gender identity forces other Black Furies to either not deal with them, or have to deal with them somewhat uncomfortably.
Storms in Silence is a former Freebooter who was absorbed into the Sisterhood of Fortune upon their coming together.
- Quinn is rumoured to be neutral to Telos, and those who are generally downtrodden.
- Quinn has been on occasion, sighted discreetly visiting gay bars.
