Further Information
Physically, Becks appears to be an athletic person in their early twenties, with dark red hair and the faint remnants of freckles. They have faint teeth scars on the left side of their neck, and a Vicissitude-crafted Anarch tattoo on their left shoulder, drawn into their skin with deep red ink.
- Born in 1896, in Seattle, to Irish Catholic parents.
- Joined the manufacturing workforce in Seattle and became involved in labor organizing
- Embraced in 1919 in Seattle, in the wake of the 1919 general strike, by a Russian Kindred who was stranded in Seattle by chance.
- Struck out across America with their sire, Pyotr Constantinovich Morozov.
- In 1920, in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, they had a run in with a strange blue-eyed beast who appeared to choose to leave them alive. Later they would learn that beast was Jesse Morris.
- Their sire returned to Russia in 1922, cutting off their period of learning and leaving Becks adrift.
- They returned to Seattle in 1924, where they were swept up into mortal queer culture they were not able to freely explore as a mortal, and became further involved with the Anarch movement.
- Over the course of the 1930s and 1940s, under the guidance of their Anarch Baron, they joined the Anarch Railroad and helped maintain a stop in Seattle. They made frequent trips up and down the coast and sometimes across the country, meeting with Anarchs and helping move fledgling, Caitiff, and those who caught the ire of the Camarilla out of trouble.
- Impulsively Embraced a childe in 1940s.
- Met Linus in Seattle in the early 1980s, and showed him the ropes of the Anarch movement.
- As part of the Anarch Railroad, caught wind of Bodhi's imprisonment and rescued him with the help of other Anarch Railroad members.
- Moved to Boston in the beginning of 2023.
Becks is a friendly, passionate Brujah labor organizer, who is comfortable picking up and shedding the counterculture of the day in service of the cause of humanism and any philosophy they can weave into the Anarch movement. They hail from Seattle, where they spent the majority of their mortal and undead life. Becks is impatient and easily nettled, and has strange hang-ups about blood.
A note on pronouns: Becks has been involved in the queer community for many years, but would have only relatively recently conceptualized themselves as nonbinary, and would have alternately used she/her or he/him pronouns prior to that, depending on what was most useful for the mortal identity they were using at the time.
- Becks is actually a Salubri, not a Brujah - but you'd be forgiven for being mistaken.
- "They were there for me when I was alone in the world. A mentor and a friend." - Linus
- "They quite literally saved my life. I was just another Clanless in trouble, not even an Anarch yet but they didn't care. They saw an injustice and sought to right it. Anarchs talk about their 'Brothers and Sisters' in the Movement, but Becks walks the walk." - Bodhi
- “They’re the real deal. They helped me out of a bad situation just because I needed it. Becks has my back and I’ll have theirs.” - Eden
- “They're always ready for a fight but know when to pick em’. They talk big about castin’ down Elders, but they'll give anyone their fair shot. And most importantly, they're the only one who's listened to me ‘bout feedin’ on animals. Might as well be a human at that point … ‘cept, they're the only vampire I'm sure’s better off as one.” - Jesse Morris
- "Becks Halloran has fought bravely for Boston, but never foolishly. The Anarchs would be wise to appreciate that — they burn with the fire of conviction, but they've lived quite a long time." - Yarrow Yoon
