Physical Description

Elias stands a few inches over six feet in height, with broad shoulders and a powerful and athletic build. His eyes are an unremarkable shade of brown, matching his neatly trimmed and somewhat curly black hair and beard. Though not ugly by any stretch, his features are a bit to blocky to be considered traditionally handsome, but he lights up a room with his easy smile and soft-spoken words. Despite his age, or perhaps because of it, he still speaks with a slight French accent.

Personality

Though he was never actually Knighted, as a boy Elias grew up on stories of Chivalry and Honor. Treating others with courtesy, compassion, and respect. Defending the innocent. Speaking truth, even should it lead to your death. Elias never lost sight of the romanticized ideal of chivalry that he had in his youth, even as he learned the harsh truths of the world. Even now, over 600 years later, the principles of compassion, loyalty, honor, and selflessness remain close to Elias' heart.

Elias is quick with a blade, but even quicker with a smile. He always seeks to resolve conflicts as non-violently as possible, even to the point of endangering his own life to avoid hurting others. There are exceptions, however - Elias will always fight to defend the innocent from harm, regardless of circumstance, with unwavering resolve.

Timeline

Birth, Embrace, and Early Years

• March 14th, 1400CE: Elias Stone was born Elias de Grailly in Gascony to Julie de Grailly and Sir Richard Percy, both English nobility. Elias is raised and schooled in the courtly arts of dance, poetry, politics, and warfare.
• 1415EE - 1420CE: Elias fights in the 100 Years War under Henry V. He loses his Father to Camp Fever and partakes in the battle of Agincourt and the Siege of Rouen. Shortly thereafter he retires to become a monk in Gascony. It is at the Battle of Agincourt that he encounters Vivienne for the first time, while both of them are still mortal.
• 1426CE: Elias is embraced by Åsa Sálavéurr. The Embrace goes wrong and Elias emerges as a Caitiff. Elias flees his sire and her allies, fending for himself. He uses his newfound powers to fight for those who lack the means or strength to defend themselves.
• 1448CE: Elias rescues a noblewoman from a brigand attack. It is later revealed that the woman is Cassandra Appolo and her assailants were members of the First Anarch Revolt.
• 1468CE: Elias returns to the site of his embrace, learns the truth, and seeks out his sire.

==== Elias in Europe ====

• 1480CE: Elias and Åsa Sálavéurr are reunited. They begin traveling the world together, using their abilities to right wrongs and defend those in need.
• 1486CE - 1496CE: Elias and Åsa Sálavéurr travel to Constantinople, where they remain for a decade. Afterward Elias parts amicably with Åsa Sálavéurr and travels to Bohemia with a Coterie of like-minded Kindred who work with him to defend the innocent and redeem the wicked.
• 1524CE: Elias encounters Forest of Teeth for the first time. He rescues some of their would-be victims, but is driven back by the fiend in the process.
• 1538CE: Elias meets Torsten, a Noiad Seer, who begins to advise Elias through the years
• 1555CE - 1606CE: Elias travels to Iceland with Åsa Sálavéurr. He is barely seen or heard from for the next 5 decades
• 1606CE: Elias returns to mainland Europe with Åsa Sálavéurr, but they part ways shortly thereafter.
• 1618CE - 1648CE: Elias attempts to help as many people displaced by the 30 Years War as possible. During this time he encounters Randolf Stein for the first time. The two eventually become close as they work to maintain their Humanity together.
• 1661CE: Elias is reunited with Vivienne when she shoots him in the head on the steps of Notre Dame. Realizing what has become of the two of them they decide to travel together for a time.
• 1690CE: Elias meets with Elijah of House Apollo, who gifts him with the Lueur d'Espoir and one of a matched set of Dueling Pistols.

Coming to America

• 1725CE: Elias comes to America
• 1783CE: Elias meets Miguel Cantone, scion of House Apollo. The two of them travel together for a short time, during which Miguel convinces Elias to tell his life’s story. Miguel assures Elias that his story will inspire others to greatness, and eventually Elias capitulates and tells Miguel about his adventures and hardships.
• 1861CE - 1865CE: Elias fights more actively and directly in this war, eventually joining the Anarch Railroad. He avoids fighting directly in any major battles, but he does impersonate a Union Cavalry Captain for a short period of time. It is during this time that he meets Grace Donadieu, first when she was a mortal doctor and again shortly after her embrace. After the war he travels to Owensboro, Kentucky following the trail of an Infernalist. He joins forces with Mertin and together the two of them hunt the Infernalist threat only to discover evidence that their quarry was already destroyed.
• 1904CE: Elias travels to Arizona, which eventually becomes his home.
• 1930CE: Elias travels to Claifornia. Elias reunites with Miguel Cantone, but the two have a falling out over the conditions that Elias finds those working for Miguel slaving over.
• 1957CE: Elias fights alongside his fellow Anarchs to break a Sabbat incursion into the Southwest Region
• 1984CE: Elias and his fellow Anarchs are attacked by Zachariah Hagen, Sheriff of Phoenix, over suspicions that the Anarchs aided Emanuel Garza in killing Prince Rebecca Price. Elias accidentally kills Hagen in self-defense.

The Southern Crusade

• 2000CE: Elias and a few allies begin hunting an infernal cult led by a woman named Emma. They are successful in rooting out a few havens, but are unable to find Emma herself.
• 2001CE: The Sack of Bisbee and Tombstone (Southwest Regional Historical Event) - Elias, Åsa, and Mozreyah are present in the sack. Greatly outnumbered, Elias fights a holding action alongside other Anarchs while the other two evacuate as many people as they can.
• 2004CE: Elias meets Mace, a Sabbat Salubri, while hunting an infernal threat on the Arizona/Mexico Border. Elias ends up working alongside Mace and a number of other Sabbat to hunt and destroy a portion of that Cult. Mace catches Elias’ attention for his honorable behavior and actions to keep mortals safe from the fighting. Over the next five years Elias and Mace continue to meet in secret until Elias is able to convince Mace to leave the Sabbat.
• 2005CE: Amid the fighting and horrors of The Southern Crusade Elias and hia allies track down and confront Emma. Despite years of offers of redemption Emma remains dedicated to her Infernal Master. Elias destroys her.
• 2007CE: The Battle of Tombstone (Southwest Regional Historical Event) - Elias fights on the front lines of the Battle of Tombstone, rallying his fellow Anarchs and helping drive the Sabbat from the City
• 2008CE: The Fool's Errand (Southwest Regional Historical Event) - Elias and his fellow Anarchs, bolstered by Camarilla and Unaligned Vampires, lure Sebastian Reyes and his entire fighting force into a trap. The Coalition forces surround and destroy the Sabbat, nearly wiping out the entire Diocese.
• 2010CE: The Breaking of Bisbee (Southwest Regional Historical Event) - Elias takes part in the heaviest fighting, losing friends and loved ones at the hands of the Sabbat. He suspects that the Anarchs were set up, but is unable to find any conclusive proof for his suspicions.
• 2010CE-2018CE: Elias remains in Arizona following The Southern Crusade, trying to pick up the pieces of the Domain broken and left behind by the war. Too few Anarchs remain to claim the city, and eventually it falls under IA control. Elias does what he can to mitigate the worst impulses of the IA from outside the Sect, but ultimately he decides the best way to change things is from the Inside.
• 2018CE: Elias leaves The Anarch Movement and joins the Independent Alliance to advise, and if needed contain, Emanuel Garza as the Lasombra claims Praxis for the IA
