1948: Gina Marie Vitale is born in Corona, Queens to Sicilian immigrant parents.
1966: Graduates from The Mary Louis Academy in Queens, New York.
1967: Begins studying belly dance under Serena at her Manhattan studio.
1969: Establishes a professional career dancing at Greek and Middle Eastern cabarets and restaurants in the tri-state area.
1973: Mugged outside of a nightclub in New Haven after a gig. Attempted to defend herself with a prop sword, but it wasn't very effective. After sustaining mortal injuries, is Embraced by Samuel Fields.
1974: Changes her name to Gina Fields in honor of her Sire.
2002: Opens World in Motion Dance Studios in New Haven in response to the belly dance boom of the 2000s.
