Jerome was, as of late, a deeply private member of the Giovanni family, content to live in relative anonymity until Kindred politics pulled them back into the fray. Formerly a nun from the Order of Saint Ursula in New Orleans, they have a stronger tie to Humanitas than many of their fellow Giovanni, and they prefer to feed on animal blood rather than human blood.
Over the course of their unlife, they received extensive training in melee combat and necromancy to aid in defending the North End from the Sabbat. Their necromantic studies have cultivated an eerie fascination with corpses, and they often refer to their zombie creations as companions or even “fellow sisters.” Jerome’s professed goals of sainthood and selflessness are continually undercut by a craving for arcane knowledge and the power that comes with it, and they go to great lengths to avoid confronting this hypocrisy directly.
