Description
Czesare Dragos is a man stuck in another time. He dresses much as he did prior to the Great War, in starched white collared shirts, vests, and ties. His slacks are always pressed, and his shoes are always immaculately polished. He's never to be found without a pocket watch. A wound inflicted on him during the Great War left him with a permanent limp in his left leg; he walks with a polished oak cane with gold inlay. Czesare keeps his head shaved, with a neatly trimmed goatee. A pair of spectacles completes his look.
Timeline
- 1894 - Born in Vienna, Austria to Hungarian nobles, who had moved to Vienna to be close to the capitol of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. They spoke Hungarian in the home, and Czesare's youth was steeped in Hungarian culture.
- 1906 - Czesare is introduced to the daughter of his father's favorite watchmaker, Ava Schulmann. The two become fast friends, despite their ethnic and soci0-economic differences. Their friendship will last a lifetime, even beyond their both becoming Kindred.
- 1912 - Czesare joins the Austro-Hungarian army at his father's behest. He takes great interest in military history and tactics, and excels at them both. He also continues his study of botany, which he first learned alongside his childhood friend, Ava.
- 1914 - The Great War begins. Fueled by grief at the death of Archduke Ferdinand, and by nationalistic fervor, Czesare throws himself into the fray. He is wounded by gunshot to the left leg, which leaves him permanently with a limp. He is sent to a family retreat in the Transylvanian Alps, where he recovers from his wounds. It is there that he attracts the attention of his sire, and begins the path to his Embrace.
- 1921 - Embraced into the Carpathian bloodline of the Tzimisce clan. He is indoctrinated in the lore of his clan, and a deep-seeded loathing of the Tzimisce outside his bloodline is instilled in him.
- 1948: In the aftermath of the second World War, Czesare's sire releases him from the Accounting. With Europe in ruins, Czesare makes the decision to leave for the New World.
- 1950: After a period of travel, Czesare finally arrives in America. His boat lands in Newfoundland, and the Tzimisce makes his way south along the East Coast, then west inland, visiting city after city but only staying very briefly. Eisenhower's highway system greatly helps increase his travel speeds.
- 1960: Arrives in Colorado. Attracted by the mountains, Czesare establishes himself in a lonely valley of the Rockies, building a home there. He slips into torpor, and does not awaken until the turn of the millennium. He is guarded by a loyal servant.
- 2000: Awakens from torpor. In his hunger, he slays his servant. He slowly begins to re-learn the ways of the modern world, but finds it not to his liking. He eschews modern technology, preferring his own archaic methodologies instead. He begins to re-establish ties with old allies.
- 2014: Along with other members of his bloodline, Czesare joins the Camarilla.
- 2021: Satisfied that he has learned what he can of the world, Czesare rejoins Kindred society.
