Johanna Carolina Back grew up with music in her home from her father and mother, who were both composers and performers. She was happy with her life, that is, until she was turned. Irony would have it that her freedom ended the same day her future home was declared independent. To add insult to injury, she was embraced by her step-mother, Anna Magdalena Bach 16 years after supposed death. This is a cruelty Jemma would prefer to pay back in kind, by killing the bitch. In 1801, Jemma was able to escape her mother and fled to New York. Revenge in her heart, but relief on her side, she begins to make music in the US. When she returns to Simpson College in 1973, she stands 5'6", known she her flowy style of clothing and blue hair. You could almost see the freckles, except the glasses and makeup she wore to fake the appearance of aging. There is a air of energy about her, sometimes delightful or energetic, other times sad or angry. When she enters a room, everyone looks at her, even if they continue speaking. Jemma has spent her time slowly changing her appearance to become the next big musical star. Some of her more recent identities have been Adele and Madonna.
It is rumored that Jemma knew poor Mildred well in her youth. The Mildred who died by falling from the third story of college hall. Some think it wasn't an accident.
Someone spotted a woman who they thought to be Anna Magdalena, of course under a different name by now, in the US.
Some of her siblings may have also been embraced by her step-mother Anna Magdalena, but she hasn't come across them in the last 200 years.
