Within the fourteenth century, a young man named Seth was born to a merchant in southern Europe. His parents had little money, and there were no prospects of him advancing his place in life. For these reasons, his father sold him to the church where he learned to read and write while studying to fulfill duties in service to god. Seth resented this place and his position within it. The church taught forgiveness and love, but he saw none of that with the clergy who oversaw his day-to-day life. When an unexpected Moorish traveler arrived at the temple, Seth took it upon himself to see to his needs while they waited for the bishop to return from his travels. Seth was in his cell when the bishop returned, and the screams of pain from the man who had tormented him for most of his life echoed through the halls. When his door opened, it was the Moor who stood there, bathed in the bishop's blood. Seth never saw the sun rise again.

What he took at first to be kindness in freeing him from his oppressor turned out to be his sire’s need to occupy the church. He viewed Seth as easier to control and convince to serve the dark god’s purpose than anyone else in attendance, so he lived as a member of the undead. His sire frequently returned as he traveled between Europe and Africa. His arrival brought with it new knowledge of the occult, and they trained Seth in the arts of Necromancy. While he ultimately served the god Set, he came to worship Anubis as the rightful god of the underworld.

When Giovanni betrayed their clan, Seth’s sire sent him to Africa, where he studied at the temple and learned more about his true nature and calling. There he remained until traveling to the New World in the sixteenth century. Seth’s sire did not travel with him, and once in the Americas, Seth established a church of his own. They hoped he could provide sanctuary to fleeing Tlacique, but they never reached his more northern temple. What followed was historically known as a revolution, but Seth viewed it as little more than a squabble between weaker nations. It surprised him to see the fledgling country emerge, but with the new sense of pride came overconfidence. These Americans believed it entitled them to everything, and Seth saw he could provide the hungry heathens with what they sought.

While working in a major city in Illinois, Seth became acquainted with the local Giovani, and together they could secure themselves against the aggression of the Camarilla. It was already the twenty-first century, and Seth was losing track of his years but still remembered his purpose. Now that purpose became focused on securing the newly created Independent Alliance against those who would destroy her. When the Sundering occurred, Seth traveled and heard of the death and destruction. He began making plans to set up a new home. Those plans have taken him nearly a decade to realize, but he is now ready to emerge in his new home of Macon, Georgia.
