Description

Cillian possesses the slender build of someone who grew up too fast, his body stretched thin by grief and abandonment. His wheat-colored hair fell across his forehead in uneven waves, framing a face of sharp planes and alabaster pallor. He was a man of twenty-two years, but his eyes , hazel orbs, told of a weariness beyond his time.

Timeline

03/17/2002 - Birth 09/30/2012 - David Augustine Faloon dies in a raid against the wyrm.

10/01/2012 - Bébhinn Mac an Bhaird, falling to the Curse of the Samhain Princess, goes off the radar, grief consuming her like an endless void. Thankfully the family's neighbor, a nun named Sister Zanita Fiola checked in on Cillian and took him in when she realized that his parents had been gone for a month.

07/15/2013 - Having grown accustomed to the orderly life provided by Sister Zanita in the absence of his mother, Cillian began to hear the song of the Static Weaver. Pain and sorrow, long bottled inside him from the loss of his father and abandonment of his mother dulled to the point of almost nonexistence.

08/12/2015 - Cillian moves to Albany with Sister Zanita after learning that Sister Zanita would be going on a church assignment to minister at Our Lady of Sarajevo Catholic Church.

08/13/2015 - Bébhinn Mac an Bhaird returns to her home to find that her son is gone and nothing left for her save memories of a lost husband and old photos of the child she had been separated from for three years. 08/28/2020 Attends Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Material Science.

05/10/2024 Graduates Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a high gpa, but no friends.

11/09/2024 The song, his companion of twelve years, ends abruptly as the Static Weaver is slane by the Warriors of Gaia. With its calming melody no longer there, Cillian struggles to cope with his undampened emotions and a burning curiosity that is inextinguishable.

2/1/25 Since early November, when Cillian awoke from the influence of the Static. Cillian had a recurring dream of a deer drinking at a pond. The dream was usually serene and peaceful, with a feeling of Home. However, the dream changed. Instead of drinking, the deer looked off to the side in panic and ran. As the deer ran, the ground began to warp under it and leaves turned to thorns. Following the deer, Cillian saw a sign that he had never seen before, showing that pond as "Fitzgerald Pond, Northampton, MA."Without informing Sister Zanita, Cillian takes a bus from Albany to Northampton and walks toward the pond. There, he stumbles into the Sept of the Deepest Den. Patience of Granite, the Gurahl Den Parent, finds him at the sept's edge and brings him in. During their meeting, Patience reveals a spirit has followed him—a Kinfetch in the form of a fawn—only now visible to Cillian. The entity was bound to him at birth by his family. Patience shelters Cillian and introduces him to the Sept and its members. Sally Ride, the Kinfolk Advocate, claims responsibility for him as both mentor and ward, slowly guiding him into awareness of the World of Darkness. Alongside Mina “Mugwort” Yi, Sally helps Cillian begin processing his condition and the truths of the world around him. The revelation that strikes the hardest is not his werewolf state, but rather the knowledge that his mother was once the Truthcatcher of the sept. She helped plant the Caern Seed. The knowledge shakes him—complicating years of assumed abandonment with the possibility of sacrifice and struggle.

02/02/2025 Cillian volunteers to help Sally in her workshop. He finds serenity in working with a fellow engineer. Though his tasks are minor or mundane, the effort engages him and lets him work off the growing anxiety and building pressure within.

02/04/2025 With the revelation of his mother being both alive and Fianna , Cillian seeks answers in regard to his lineage. Patience of Granite, ever the informed mentor, points the Unborn in the right direction. The local Fianna kin—descendants of the Mac an Bhaird line—prove a helpful resource. Through the MacWards and McMurphys, he learns of his ancestral ties to Padraig Og Mac an Bhaird, a Galliard of poetic fame, and uncovers the family’s long-standing roots in the region. The MacWards, now operating a distillery and brewery out of Hollow Hill, and the McMurphys, who helped settle Montague.

02/12/2025 Cillian deepens his investigation into the Unborn condition afflicting him, hoping to uncover why his Change never came. He quickly discovers that there is no written information on the matter. Not only that, but shifters do not write down their histories. The revelation that generations of knowledge being locked away in memory and song grates his engineering mind. Patience of Granite, once free of obligation, grants the wisdom that had availed Cillian. The Gurahl explains that Gnosis—Gaia's lifeblood—flows through every shifter at First Change, but Gaia herself is wounded and weakened. Many believe Unborn exist because she lacks the strength to awaken all her children, or simply misses some in her diminished state. The internal investigation, conducted in meditation with Steve's flickering presence and Patience's guidance, reveals more troubling truths. First Change requires overwhelming emotion as a trigger. Patience offers the theory that maybe because of the dampening of emotion from the Static Weaver he may have missed the trigger. Only time will tell when the Unborn changes, if ever.

02/19/2025 Cillian is taken to the Sept of the Lonely Mountain by L'Orateur, the current fool of Deepest Den. The venture is both strange and enlightening in its measure.

Quotes

  • "Cillian has a lotta heart. He proved time and again his willingness to put it all on the line. But, like, I dunno man...maybe slow down a LITTLE. Too much gung-ho will get you gung-fuckin murdered before your time, yknow?" Marcus "Chop Shop" Waters
